The MT6815 is MagnTek’s 2nd generation angle encoder IC, it is based on anisotropic magneto resistance (AMR) and proprietary signal condition technology with 0~360° full measurement range. The sensor contains two Wheatstone bridges and signal condition ASIC. With the rotation of magnet flux, the MT6815 outputs encoded angle signals and provides 14 bit angle data for customer by I²C or 3-Wire/4-Wire SPI interface. Compared to traditional Hall sensors, the AMR angle sensor reduces the need for magnetic fields due to its operation in the saturation region, making customer installation easier. The MT6815 is available in a SOP-8 and QFN-16 packages and it is suitable for position feedback in motor control, rotation control for consumer and industry applications.
