MT6826 chip is MagnTek's new generation of magnetic Angle encoder IC suitable for closed-loop stepper motor control, based on Anisotropic Magnetoresistive (AMR) technology and proprietary signal processing technology to achieve 0°~360° absolute Angle measurement.
The chip consists of a pair of AMR Wheatstone Bridges and a signal processing ASIC circuit. With the rotation of the magnetic field parallel to the surface of the chip, the chip can output AB, UVW, PWM and other Angle signals. Support up to 120,000 RPM, incremental AB resolution 1~1024 line programmable, UVW output 1~16 pole programmable. MT6826 chip is mainly for closed-loop stepper motor applications that use 1000 or 1024 line incremental signals for position feedback, give full play to the advantages of magnetic Angle detection chip seismic, not afraid of oil and dust, and solve the pain points of users in textile, clothing processing and other industries using traditional photoelectric encoders.

The MT6826 provides a client self-calibration mode. In this mode, the system only needs to be operated at a constant speed without any data interaction, and the MT6826 chip will automatically calculate and calibrate various nonlinearity brought by the magnet, installation position deviation and the chip itself, and automatically stored in the EEPROM of the chip. After constant velocity self-calibration, the chip's angular accuracy INL can be reduced to within 1 Lsb, i.e. ±0.08° (typical value).
