At this exhibition, MagnTek brought a new generation of magnetic angle sensor chips that meet automotive functional safety and resistance to stray magnetic field interference, magnetic angle encoder chips for off axis applications, interpolation subdivision chips, and a series of wheel speed sensor products. The new products are as follows:

The New Generation of Magnetic Angle Sensor Chips

MT6511 | New generation magnetic angle sensor chip that meets automotive functional safety and resistance to stray magnetic field interference

◉Differential Hall design for preventing external stray magnetic field interference

◉Compliant with AEC-Q100 and ISO26262 functional safety

◉Supports multiple outputs including Analog, PWM, SPI, SENT, and incremental ABZ/UVW

◉Support programming of output curves with arbitrary 8-point and 17-point equal division

MT6511 is a new generation magnetic angle sensor chip developed by MagnTek for the automotive market based on differential Hall magnetic induction technology. MT6511 can provide analog linear output of 0-360 ° or PWM, ABZ, UVW and other outputs, and also provides two communication interfaces: SENT and SPI. MT6511 supports programming of output curves that can be divided into up to 8 or 17 points, making it suitable for various complex angle control scenarios. As an automotive grade product, MT6511 can withstand up to ± 30V DC high voltage between the power supply and ground, and can withstand 30V high voltage from the output end to ground. In addition, the output overcurrent protection function ensures the reliable and stable operation of the chip in harsh environments. MT6511 meets the functional safety requirements of AEC-Q100 and ISO26262, providing two packaging options: single channel SOP-8 and dual channel TSSOP-16 (redundant design), suitable for various applications such as automotive electronic shifters, steering wheel angle detection, electronic throttle, EGR valves, etc.

Magnetic angle encoder chip for off axis applications

MT6620 | Angle detection IC for fixed induction magnetic poles

◉Fixed 2mm magnetic induction pole distance, suitable for off-axis angle and linear displacement detection

◉Provide a simple self calibration mode for the client, which automatically calculates compensation without data interaction

◉Supports multiple outputs such as ABZ, UVW, PWM, etc

◉Incremental ABZ can provide up to 2500 lines (10000 LSBs) resolution per magnetic cycle (4mm)

◉Built in EEPROM, programmable from 3.3 to 5.0

MT6620 is a new generation sensor chip developed by MagnTek based on fixed pole Hall magnetic induction technology for off axis angle and position detection. The chip integrates a Hall array with a pole distance of 2mm. When a magnetic grating ruler or magnetic ring with a corresponding pole distance of 2mm passes over the chip Hall array, the chip can sense the sine and cosine voltage signals that vary with the angle position through Hall principle, and calculate the corresponding position and angle data through subsequent processing. The MT6620 provides incremental ABZ output similar to traditional photoelectric encoders, with a maximum resolution of 2500 pulses per magnetic pair or 10000 steps per magnetic pair; At the same time, MT6620 also provides incremental UVW output, with a resolution support of 1-63 pairs of poles/magnetic pairs. The core performance improvement of MT6620 lies in providing a convenient self calibration mode for the client (without data interaction). Through self calibration, various nonlinearities caused by imperfect magnets and structural installation deviations can be compensated, greatly improving linearity.

Interpolation subdivision chip

MT6709 | Off axis absolute value angle decoding chip (external linear Hall)

Four linear Hall sensors arranged at a 90 ° angle with external components to achieve off-axis absolute angle detection

17 bit absolute angle data, which can be read through the SPI interface

Supports multiple outputs of ABZ, UVW, PWM, and SPI

Incremental ABZ output supports 1-2500 pulses/cycle with any integer resolution programmable

◉ Provide a simple self calibration mode for the client, which automatically calculates compensation without data interaction

MT6709 is a new generation decoding chip launched by MagnTek Microelectronics, which is designed for angle calculation of sine and cosine analog signals input from external linear Hall (working with 1 pair of polar magnetic rings). As the rotation axis drives the single pole magnetic ring (one N-pole, one S-level) to rotate, four linear Hall chips placed at a 90 ° angle around the magnetic ring will sense and output analog signals of sine and cosine. After compensating, calculating, and decoding these four differential sine and cosine analog input signals, MT6709 can obtain absolute angle data with a resolution of 17 bits; The angle data will be further encoded into an AB incremental signal with a maximum resolution of 2500 pulses/cycle or 10000 steps/cycle; MT6709 also provides UVW output with a resolution of 1-63 pairs per cycle. MT6709 provides a 3-wire SPI interface for the upper computer or MCU to read the 17 bit absolute angle data inside the chip. At the same time, a single line output PWM can also provide angle data with a resolution of 12 bits. The STATUS and FAIL interrupt pins will output real-time operational status and diagnostic information of the chip. The core advantage of MT6709 is that it provides a user-friendly simple self calibration mode. Users do not need to interact with the MT6709 chip for data, do not need a reference source, and only need to move for a few cycles to compensate for the misalignment, amplitude, and phase errors of external input sine and cosine signals.

MT6728 | 21 bit sine and cosine input interpolation subdivision chip

◉Support external input Sin, Cos analog input with a maximum frequency of 32KHz

◉21 bit angle resolution, can be read through SPI interface

◉Supports multiple outputs of ABZ, UVW, PWM, and SPI

◉Incremental ABZ output supports 1-16384 pulses/cycle with any integer resolution programmable

◉Built in EEPROM, no need for external plug-ins

MT6728 is a new generation interpolation and subdivision chip launched by MagnTek Microelectronics for external input sine and cosine signals. MT6728 receives differential sine and cosine analog inputs from external inputs, and after compensating and decoding the input signal, it can output an AB incremental signal with a maximum resolution of 16384 pulses/cycle or 65536 steps/cycle (Z signal can also be obtained from external inputs); At the same time, MT6728 also provides incremental UVW output, with a resolution support of 1-63 pairs per cycle. MT6728 provides a 3-wire SPI interface for the upper computer or MCU to read the 21 bit angle and position values inside the chip. At the same time, a single line output PWM can also provide angle data with a resolution of 12 bits. The core advantage of MT6728 is that it provides a user-friendly simple self calibration mode. Users do not need to interact with the MT6728 chip for data exchange, do not need a reference source, and only need to move in a fixed direction for several cycles to compensate for the misalignment, amplitude, and phase errors of external input sine and cosine signals.
