In this exhibition, MagnTek brought a new generation of high-precision high-speed magnetic encoder chips and high-precision low-temperature drift current sensor chips. The new products are as follows:
High-precision high-speed magnetic encoder chip
MT6701 | Magnetic angle encoder chip that prevents external stray magnetic field interference
MT6701 is a Hall magnetic angle detection chip, using differential Hall disc design, which can perfectly eliminate magnetic field interference from any direction from the outside world, and two pairs of differential Hall discs placed at 90° can realize angle detection. In addition to the in-plane angular rotation detection, the MT6701 also integrates a vertical (Z-direction) compression detection function, and the threshold of the compression can be programmed via the on-chip EEPROM to facilitate a variety of application designs. The MT6701 is available in a variety of output formats, including SSI, I²C, PWM, linear analog outputs, and incremental ABZ, UVW (supported by QFN packages only), as well as SOP-8 and QFN-16 packages. MT6701 can be applied to drones, gimbals, RC models and robot joints related to brushless DC servos, as well as various knob buttons.
MT6818 | Magnetic angle encoder chip for flexible mounting
MT6818 is an angle encoder chip based on the principle of anisotropic magnetoresistance AMR, which can support both on axis and off axis installation methods simultaneously. Compared to in axis applications that require occupying one end face of the motor shaft, off axis installation is more flexible and suitable for applications such as robot joints and AGV hub motors. MT6818 provides incremental ABZ, UVW output and absolute PWM, 3-wire/4-wire SPI (absolute value can only be achieved with 1 pair of pole magnets or magnetic rings) output. MT6818 is equipped with powerful calibration and compensation algorithms to address the INL linearity loss caused by distortion of the magnetic field sensed by the chip during off-axis installation.
MT6825 | Closed-loop stepper motor magnetic angle encoder chip
The MT6825 chip is MagnTek's latest third-generation magnetic angle encoder IC, which realizes 0~360° absolute angle measurement based on anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) technology and proprietary signal processing technology. The chip consists of a pair of AMR Wheatstone bridges and signal processing ASIC circuits, which can output angular signals such as ABZ/UVW and PWM as the magnetic field parallel to the surface of the chip rotates, while users can also read the 18-bit absolute angle data inside the chip through the SPI interface that supports up to 16MHz clocks. The MT6825 achieves an angle detection accuracy of ± within 0.5° and reduces the system latency to less than 2 microseconds, supporting speeds of up to 25,000 rpm. The MT6825 is available in TSSOP16 packages, which are mainly used in various application scenarios with high-speed and high-precision control requirements, such as closed-loop stepper motor control, 2500-line servo motor control, etc.
High-precision low-temperature drift current sensor chip
MT9221 | Built-in magnetic circuit current sensing IC
The MT9221 series is MagnTek's latest current sensor chip. The "current-magnetic" conversion module is integrated into the chip, and the Hall effect principle is used to convert the magnet into a voltage output signal proportional to the input current. The MT9221 has a dielectric strength of 2600Vrms, "zero" hysteresis, and an ultra-high-speed us-level response time, making it ideal for current sensing in a wide range of inverters/inverters. The series has an integrated temperature compensation circuit that controls the median voltage of the chip and the temperature drift of the sensitivity within a very small error range. With the built-in current loop, it can easily achieve 0~±30A current sensing applications.
MT9211 | External magnetic circuit current sensing IC
The MT9211 series is MagnTek's latest sensor device based on Hall sensing technology specifically designed for current sensor applications. The series has an integrated temperature compensation circuit that controls the median voltage of the chip and the temperature drift of the sensitivity within a very small error range. With external ferromagnetic cores (ferrite, silicon steel, ferronickel), it can be designed for applications that induce currents of 0~1000A and above. Depending on the magnitude of the magnetic field generated by the detected current, an output voltage signal proportional to it is output. With the dedicated programmer and the integrated EEPROM, users can easily customize the sensitivity according to the actual current size (0.707~22.624mV/Gs); The number of repeated erases shall not be less than 200 times. Recommended applications: photovoltaics, welding machines, uninterruptible power supplies, high-power inverters, etc.
MagnTek gained a lot in this exhibition, attracting many smart and lovely engineer friends to stop and communicate, and also contacted a number of potential partners who are interested in representing.
The Munich Electronics Show ended successfully, but MagnTek will still make great strides in the field of magnetic sensor chips and strive for the C position. Stay tuned!
See you next year !
