MagnTek brought a new generation of speed and position detection chips to the 2019 China Refrigeration Exhibition
From April 9 to April 11, 2019, the 30th China International Exhibition on Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Heating, Ventilation and Food Freezing Processing (hereinafter referred to as "China Refrigeration Exhibition") was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.
MagnTek and its partner in the air conditioning industry, Zhuhai Star Sincere, participated in the exhibition and brought a new generation of speed and position detection chips full of sincerity.
In this exhibition, MagnTek focused on the "MT8381 air conditioning motor single-chip solution" and "smart home comprehensive testing solution".
MT8381 single-chip solution for air conditioning motor

The MT8381 series of application products in this solution are produced using BCD technology, which is controlled by automotive electronic processes, with high performance and high reliability. The IC integrates a monolithic Hall-sensing element, a voltage regulator operating from 3.8V to 60V, temperature compensation circuitry, a small signal amplifier, a dynamic offset cancellation system, a Schmitt trigger, and an open-collector output driver. It also includes a clamping diode at the output and reverse power supply protection to give the IC greater reliability.
Compared to traditional solutions, the MT8381 single-chip solution requires higher Hall performance, and MagnTek has succeeded in achieving this improvement. This scheme adjusts the air conditioning motor scheme from the original 8 components to 5, saving the discrete capacitors and saving the labor cost of installing these discrete components. The area of the PCB is only 1/30 of the original solution, which effectively saves more material costs. It has achieved more efficient and energy-saving results.
