MagnTek · New Product | MT890X Dual Output Magnetic Switch Speed Detection IC with Built in Self Diagnostic Function
The MT890X series of dual output magnetic switch speed detection IC with built-in self diagnostic function is MagnTek's latest third-generation speed band directional latch switch, which is an upgraded chip of the MT1452-EN series. This product is applied to automotive motor systems, such as sunroof and window anti pinch motors.
MT890X is an automotive grade functional IC designed and produced according to the AEC-Q100 specification. It has passed the AEC-Q100 experimental project. In order to improve the functional safety of the chip, the chip integrates a self-test function internally, which can check internal faults during power on and provide feedback signals to prevent unexpected situations during vehicle operation.
In order to cope with the problem of thermal motion affecting the arrangement of atomic magnetic moments inside the magnet at high temperatures, causing the parallel arrangement of atomic magnetic moments to be disrupted and resulting in the attenuation of magnetic field strength, the MT890X integrates a temperature sensor internally. The magnetic sensitivity varies from -40 ℃ to 150 ℃, with a temperature characteristic of -1000ppm/℃, ensuring the consistency of the chip and magnet coordination at all temperatures and greatly reducing the problem of magnetic induction failure caused by high temperatures in applications.
According to the customer's demand for miniaturization, MT890X has implemented a smaller packaging form - SOT-23-6L, which is in line with the development trend of a series of automotive speed sensors becoming more compact and miniaturized. This chip can also expand the application scenarios of speed band directional latch switches, no longer limited by mechanical structure.
The two output forms of the MT890X series are named as follows: Speed+Direction MT890X-SD and Speed+Speed MT890X-SS, both of which have entered mass production.
The MT890X series products are available in SOT-23-6L and Flat To-94 packages, which comply with RoHS standards。
