MT6835 chip is MagnTek's latest fourth generation magnetic Angle encoder IC, that is, the MT6825 new upgrade chip, based on Anisotropic Magnetoresistive (Anisotropic Magnetoresistive, anisotropic magnetoresistive, AMR technology and proprietary signal processing enable absolute Angle measurement from 0° to 360°.

The chip consists of a pair of AMR Wheatstone Bridges and a signal processing ASIC circuit. With the rotation of the magnetic field parallel to the surface of the chip, the chip can output ABZ/UVW, PWM and other Angle signals, while the user can also read the 21bit absolute Angle data inside the chip through the SPI interface supporting up to 16MHz clock. Supports a maximum speed of 120,000 RPM. The MT6835 chip can be used in various applications requiring high-speed and high-precision control, such as closed-loop stepper motor control, 2,500-16,384 line servo applications, and 17-bit absolute value servo motor applications.

The MT6835 provides a client self-calibration mode. In this mode, the system only needs to be operated at a constant speed without any data interaction, and the MT6835 chip will automatically calculate and calibrate various nonlinearity caused by the magnet, installation position deviation and the chip itself, and automatically store in the EEPROM of the chip. After constant velocity self-calibration, the INL can be reduced to within ±0.07° (typical value). In addition, the MT6835 provides a further NLC towing calibration mode, which can reduce the INL to within ±0.02° (typical value).

MT6835 has built-in temperature compensation, which can effectively suppress the deterioration of angle accuracy caused by temperature changes and the resulting increase in system speed fluctuations.
