The new generation of high-precision, high bandwidth, and low noise programmable current sensor chip MT9711 series launched by MagnTek, combined with magnetic rings, can meet the requirements of measuring current in the hundred ampere level and is widely used in vehicle motors, inverters, and other applications. The MT9711 series is applied in vehicle mounted motor inverters, greatly improving battery efficiency. 01 Product Description

The MT9711 series is a single-chip integrated programmable Hall effect linear sensor chip. It can be widely used in precise current detection or position detection. Each MT9711 consists of a highly sensitive Hall element, a low noise small signal high gain amplifier, a clamp circuit, an overcurrent protection output stage, and a high bandwidth dynamic compensation circuit. The MT9711 series outputs an analog voltage signal proportional to the applied magnetic flux density. Customers can flexibly configure sensitivity and calibrate static (zero magnetic field) output voltage by programming on the output pins to optimize the performance of the final application. Sensitivity can be adjusted within the range of 0.5~6.5mV/Gs through programming. The chip integrates a high-precision bandgap reference power supply, and its static output voltage and sensitivity vary with the variation of the power supply.

03 Typical Application Circuit 

The typical application circuit of MT9711 series products includes one input bypass capacitor and one output filtering capacitor as additional external components. There must be a bypass capacitor between VCC and GND. The magnetic field is applied vertically to the surface of the chip, and the analog output signal is directly measured through the VOUT pin.

04 Application scenarios

The MT9711 series is mainly equipped with C-CORE magnetic cores to make current sensor modules, detecting copper bar currents of several hundred amperes or more. This module is widely used for current detection of three-phase copper bars in new energy electric drive systems.
