Third generation upgraded magnetic angle sensor chip for automotive specifications


  MT6521 | Third generation upgraded car grade magnetic angle sensor chip

◉Provide 3D detection, with the option to select any plane of XY, XZ, YZ for sensing

MT6521 is a new generation magnetic angle and position detection sensor chip developed by MagnTek Microelectronics based on the principles of horizontal Hall and Magneto Chip (IMC) technology. The chip contains two pairs of horizontal Hall arrays and magnetic plates placed at a 90 ° angle to each other. It can detect magnetic field changes in the XY, XZ, and YZ planes according to different model configurations, and output sine and cosine voltage signals. After amplification, compensation, and calculation by subsequent dedicated circuits, the angle value (α) is obtained. The OUT output pin of MT6521 provides programmable options for analog output, PWM, and SENT output. And these three outputs can be programmed to divide the output curve into any 8-point or 17 point (16 segment) equally. MT6521 also provides two communication interfaces: output single wire (OWI) and 3-wire SPI, for users to read 16 bit absolute angle data and read/write other internal registers. Users can also burn the EEPROM inside the chip through SPI and OWI interfaces. For some special applications, MT6521 also provides a separate angle position switch output (SWO), and the parameters of the switch point and switch hysteresis window are user programmable. As a chip mainly designed for automotive applications, MT6521 has a series of self checking, diagnostic and other functional safety mechanisms designed inside the chip, which can support the functional safety requirements of single channel chip ASIL-B and dual channel chip ASIL-B (D).

Magnetic angle encoder chip for off-axis applications


MT6620 | Angle detection chip for fixed induction magnetic poles

◉Fixed 2mm magnetic induction pole distance, suitable for off-axis angle and linear displacement detection

◉Provide a concise self calibration mode for the client, without the need for data interaction to automatically calculate compensation

MT6620 is a new generation sensor chip developed by MagnTek based on fixed pole Hall magnetic induction technology, suitable for off-axis angle and position detection. The chip integrates a Hall array with a pole distance of 2mm. When a magnetic grid ruler or magnetic ring with a corresponding pole distance of 2mm passes over the Hall array of the chip, the chip can sense the sine and cosine voltage signals that change with the angle position through the Hall principle. After subsequent processing, the corresponding position and angle data can be calculated. MT6620 provides incremental ABZ output similar to traditional photoelectric encoders, with a maximum resolution of 2500 pulses per magnetic pole or 10000 steps per magnetic pole; At the same time, MT6620 also provides incremental UVW output, with a resolution support of 1-63 pairs of poles/magnetic poles. The core performance improvement of MT6620 lies in providing a convenient self calibration mode for the client (without data interaction), which can compensate for various nonlinearities caused by imperfect magnets and structural installation deviations through self calibration, thereby greatly improving linearity.

The MT9711 series is a single-chip integrated programmable Hall effect linear sensor chip. It can be widely applied in precise current detection or position detection. Each MT9711 is composed of a high-sensitivity Hall element, a low-noise small signal high gain amplifier, a clamp circuit, an overcurrent protection output stage, and a high bandwidth dynamic compensation circuit. The MT9711 series outputs an analog voltage signal proportional to the applied magnetic flux density. Customers can flexibly configure sensitivity and calibrate static (zero magnetic field) output voltage by programming on the output pins to optimize the performance of the final application. Sensitivity can be adjusted through programming within the range of 0.5~6.5mV/Gs. The chip integrates a high-precision, interest bearing reference power supply, whose static output voltage and sensitivity vary with the power supply.

MTL200QA supports various inductive position sensors. MTL200QA is an IC that can process signals from various sensing position sensors. It integrates an oscillator, LDO, temperature sensor, and signal processing module. MTL200QA provides packaged QFN2 * 2-14L for surface mount (MSL2) and complies with RoHS standards.

MT5201 supports 2-wire and 3-wire applications for all types of position detection sensors. MT5201 is an IC capable of processing various position sensor signals. It integrates LDO, signal processing module, driver, and protection module. MT5201DT-NPN and MT5201DT-PNP are in internal fixed output mode. MT5201 provides DFN2 * 3-8L packaging (MSL1), which complies with RoHS standards.

 MTL100 is a dedicated chip based on self-excited coil induction angle sensing. By detecting the rotation of metal iron sheets, it converts mechanical signals into digital signals, providing an effective solution for the implementation of new non-magnetic remote measurement. Provide dual channel forward and reverse digital signal output, and confirm real-time measurement data and assembly reliability through I2C communication. MTL100 has the characteristics of small size, low power consumption, and good anti-interference performance.
